David Ryan is an industrial process engineer and entrepreneurial leader with extensive experience in the energy sector. He recently exited as CEO of a hydrocarbon technology company, which he scaled from $5 million to $350 million valuation. Ryan specializes in leveraging technologies to optimize industrial processes for hydrogen, alternative carbon uses, and new energy projects.
Ryan has held leadership roles like CEO, director, and manager at prominent companies like thyssenkrupp. His expertise spans coal, nuclear, oil and gas operations as well as a decade focused on hydrogen and emerging energy domains. Ryan previously led an AIM-listed waste plastic-to-hydrogen firm.
A Chartered Engineer, Ryan holds an MBA from Durham University and a BSc in Energy Technology from the University of Aston. His technical and entrepreneurial skillset drives innovation in the energy transition landscape.

Professor Andrew Barron is a pioneering nanomaterials researcher, one of the first to produce carbon nanotubes. After faculty roles at Harvard and Rice, he now directs the Energy Safety Research Institute at Swansea University.
A prolific scientist with over 490 publications and 25 patents, Barron's research focuses on water treatment, oil recovery, sustainable materials and carbon capture/utilization. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and has won numerous awards.
Barron is also a serial entrepreneur, having founded over 5 companies, including 2 taken public. His current ventures involve water treatment and fracking wastewater cleanup technologies.

Dr. Laura J. O'Dea is a pioneering force at TrimTabs, merging her deep expertise in nanotechnology with advanced machine learning techniques to drive innovation in carbon nanotube (CNT) manufacturing. With a Master’s in Nanotechnology and hands-on experience in lab-on-chip manufacturing, Laura's PhD research focused on leveraging statistical and image processing techniques to extract critical biomarkers, setting the stage for her cutting-edge work at TrimTabs. Her role is instrumental in optimising our CNT growth processes through data analysis and predictive modelling, enhancing both efficiency and product quality.
Dr. Tim Yick is a pivotal member of the TrimTabs team, renowned for his groundbreaking work in the growth of ultralong carbon nanotubes and the development of patented technology for TrimTabs' CNT wires. He completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Swansea University under the supervision of Prof. Alvin Orbaek White. Tim brings a wealth of expertise that directly enhances our innovative manufacturing processes. His ability to engineer ultralong carbon nanotubes positions TrimTabs at the cutting edge of the industry, providing our clients with superior materials for advanced applications.
